The Dark Secret of Harvest Home (1978, TV/VHS)

"This television miniseries is based on Thomas Tryon's complex and suspenseful occult thriller {Harvest Home}, delving into the forbidden rituals of the small New England township Cornwall Combe, whose residents offer annual human sacrifices to pagan gods in return for a bountiful corn harvest. The production is notable mainly for the participation of Bette Davis, who plays the powerful Widow Fortune, the town's leading practitioner of the black arts. A very young Rosanna Arquette co-stars as one of the new kids in town." via the NYT

There are a lot of bootleg versions of this around. The official VHS release was severely cut to 2 hours from the original 4 hours. I'm not sure what this version is because it is only 3 hours. I think it was ripped from VHS tapes that contained the show recorded from TV. That was back in 1979 so the quality isn't 1080p. Some of the footage could be sourced from the VHS release but I wouldn't know. If you buy the official VHS and splice it with this rip you could possibly end up with the entire show... Worth a try if you're that bored.

This is split into 2 files: [Part 1] [Part 2]
